Ask a Librarian

Useful Tip: If you don't find an answer, fill out the form and you will receive an email response from a Chico librarian.
Q

Where can I find assistance in the library? My teacher said he has put a book on hold for the class and I'm not quite sure what that means?

Answer

A book on hold would most likely mean that it is on reserve.  These books are held behind the circulation desk on the first floor for classes.  To find them, you need to search for your class in our reserve system: http://opac.csuchico.edu/search/r

Once you have searched for your class (HIST 130 for example) there will be a call number for the book.

Give the call number to the person at circulation and they will retrieve the book for you.
