How do I search for empirical articles?
Empirical articles are articles that someone has done active research on a subject/topic and reports their methods, results, and provides a conclusion. Searching for these type of articles takes some evaluation on your part. When you find an article that has potential, open the full text and see if it has a methodology, results, and conclusion. To answer your question directly- when you are in a database, use keywords to locate articles on you topic. Be sure to click the "peer reviewed" button to narrow your search to just peer reviewed articles. Once you have this list of results, look for potential articles and then evaluate them to see if they have the elements of an emperical article. This last part is what you will have to evaluate on your own in order to determine if it is empirical or not.
